I visited Charisma over the new year period, the salon is gorgous so was very surprised at how quiet they where. No one was on reception when i went in so had to cough loudly and a member of staff came out the back with mouth full of food. I was slightly put off but even more so when the young girl told me to go sit my self down and she would be with me after finishing her lunch.
then after ten mins a young boy offered to wash my hair before the stylist knew what she was doing or even introduced them selfs. the cut i finished with was ok, nothing speacial snd certainly not what i asked for, I wanted more of a restlye and help with my face shape but was given a slight trim. The young girl seemed more interested in what the other staff where doing round her,
This was a big disapointment as the salon is really lovely but i think the staff are too young and need tp be more profesional.

Would recommend CHARISMA to anyone ,iv always walked away very happy .
Also a family menber found a beautiful wedding dress in there bridal wear, charisma done a very good job with her hair and make up on the brides most important day .

Becky and her team did my hair for my wedding and did a great job. I had a hair trial before hand with not a definate idea on what I wanted. They helped me decide what with being a very indecisive bride to be with stubborn thick hair and made my hair looked beautiful. I then had my hair, mother of the bride and bridesmaid hair all done on the day and we all loved what we had done. It lasted all day and night and even plenty of dancing! Thanks again to Becky and team.

Having read the positive comments I booked an appt with Becky.After being unwell for a few weeks I felt old & frumpy,,,my hiar has bee transformed from a frizzy mess with a colour that did nothing for me, to a sleek red which has made me feel tons better. Becky, Paris etc really work hard to give you what is practical for you, while still making you look 100% better than when you walked in. As you know if your hailr looks good you feel good.

i am really happy with the work around my hair. i get in the salon with hair looking as a complete disaster but now i look so much different. even my friends like my hair more now than before. it looks like i am another happy customer and i am looking forward for the next time. i will recommend Charisma to my friends and anyone else who need a good care of his hair.

THE salon for me. I've been searching for a good hairdresser since moving to bristol in july 2010 and finally found someone who does exactly what i want! Becky is a fantastic stylist and i will be going back from now on! pricing is also really reasonable, i had a complete restyle, all over colour and bright slices put through (thanks hayley!) and was surprised by the price at the end of it. also was given great advice on how to maintain the style which was so useful. would recommend to everyone and anyone!! I have had an extremely good experience with this salon. My friend got married last July and recommended Charisma, as she had used them for her hair and make-up. From start to finish they were extremely professional and I was particularly happy with the owner Becky. I purchased my wedding dress from Charisma and then had my hair trials. On this point I would like to note that this was the 8th shop I had tried and I found one of the most stunning and original dresses I had ever seen. I hired the room upstairs on the morning of my wedding. My bridesmaids and I had our hair and make-up done in the salon and then Becky helped us all get into our dresses. We also used them for the suit hire and again they got everything ready in time and the quality was really good. The service was exceptional and I was made to feel at ease and really comfortable on the actual day. Becky could not have been more attentive and throughout the whole experience she was there to deal with any queries I had.
Thank you for making my wedding day so special. I would definitely recommend Charisma for the services they offer.

What a great salon! The staff were extremely kind and helpful and Becky the owner was fantastic! She sat with me and discussed the hairstyle I wanted and made me feel 100% confident that she knew exactly how I wanted my hair to look. The end result looked fantastic and exactly like the picture I had showed her. I had been to 7 bridal shops and had found nothing, Charisma being the eighth. The staff were really friendly and accomodating (as I had arrived an hour and half too early). I was advised to try on a dress which was not something I had originally thought was someting that I was looking for...I was proved wrong, the dress was perfect. They also do shoes, hair pieces, men's suits and bridal hair...the complete package.

At last! A Salon with everything! This is a great Salon and I would recommend it to anyone, The staff are all really friendly, make you feel welcome, and theres none of that "conveyor-belt" feeling that you get in Toni & Guy for example.

Becky, the owner, and all her staff take the time to listen to you, and will advise you on whats best for your face-shape or colouring, if you need a bit of guidance (which I did!) The cut Becky did for me was perfect, the colour Hayley did was gorgeous, and Ive had loads of comments about my hair since. The head-massage is to die for!!

Im lucky in that the salon is local to me, but Id travel to it whatever area I lived in, its rare to find such high quality hairdressing but with that "personal" touch too. All in all, a relaxing experience, friendly welcoming staff, and I came out with exactly the cut and colour I wanted. I wont go anywhere else now!

Thank you so much for everything - my dress was the most beautiful creation I have ever seen and the men's suits were stylish and elegant. The service was amazing - Becky, Steve and Jo were brilliant, offering excellent advice and making me feel like the most special girl in the world - they even steam cleaned my dress in between my wedding day and my evening reception which we had the following day! Jules the seamstress was also a miracle worker - such a talented, lovely and helpful lady – she is worth her weight in gold, never mind her hourly rate!

My wedding weekend was perfect and in lots of ways, that was down to the team at Charisma. My new husband and I cannot thank you all enough and we will be recommending Charisma to everyone in the future.

i have just collected my wedding dress from Charisma. I cannot praise the team enough. From beginning to end the service was faultless. Jo was so helpful and provided such good advice. i would recommend this bridal boutique to anyone - one of my bridesmaids has bought her wedding dress here too on my recommendation!

I went in to the salon last Saturday and had my hair trimmed, washed and blow dried. I was very overwhelmed with the service I had. It was fantastic. The girl cutting my hair was full of knowledge and suggestions, which I was very grateful for, as when every I go anywhere, they only every cut it. I left feeling completely different and have booked in again. I can't believe that I have found a hairdressers which 1, is only a couple of mins away and 2 that will now be my permanent hairdresser. Really really happy. Have recomended my friend who is going back in today for her second appointment and will be getting an appointment for my sister. Thank you so much.

After many years of searching, I've finally found a hairdresser I was completely happy with in Charisma, Becky and her team listen to my comments, always have suggestions and provide a great, relaxing service. My other half has always liked my hair style and colour when I've returned from Charisma - this was never the case with any other hairdresser I've visited and compliments at home are always a bonus! I considered moving house a few years ago and one thought that crossed my mind was how long it would take to get to Charisma from there - I think that speaks volumes.

Oh it seems you only keep positive reviews on this site?, which is a one sided view of your salon. I made a complaint because I'm an unhappy customer, and feel I was treated badly by Becca. Just to let you know I have posted my review of your service on other sites which you have no control over, you can try, but you will never delete the truth.

Becky has been styling my hair for over 10 years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else. What a fabulous salon you have Becky. You deserve it after all your hard work. A very dear friend of mine has been having her hair cut, washed / set, coloured and permed by Becky for over 25 years; she told me that Becky was opening her own salon called 'Charisma' at 3 Kingsway, Kingswood, Bristol and she was going to move to the new salon, so Becky could still do her hair. My friend highly recommended Becky to me when I told her that I was yet to find a decent hairdresser who I can trust to cut and style my hair the way I want it done, not the way the hairdresser wants to do it. I rang Becky for an appointment the very next day; she explained that she was opening her own salon and was I happy to wait a couple of weeks....of course I was, she had come highly reommended. I went for my appointment and finally found a hairdresser I could trust; I have been going to Becky ever since. Becky has been cutting my hair for over 10 years now and I wouldn't go any where else, all the staff are really friendly, Becky always listens to how I would like my hair styled and always gives good advice about my cut and colour. I recommended her to my mum, who's tried many places over the years but she says no one can style her hair like Becky.

I'd never used the salon before today and wasnt dissapointed! I had a friendly welcome, my stylist listened to what i wanted, offered me advice and i was really happy with the result of my wash, cut and blow-dry. I will def use them again and recommend them to friends.

I have been going to Charisma for some years now. Becky & her taem are fab. I love the atmosphere, & their innovative hair ideas.. Becks has convinced me to grow my hair, which in itself is difficult. But she manages to keep it in style. Lurve the head massage also. Prices are affordable to.

i visited charisma yesterday the 21/05/11 to go and have my hair put up for a evening wedding party...the staff were very freindly and the salon is lovelly too. the lady that done my hair did a brilliant job i loved what she done to it and everyone at the party commented on how lovely it looked. i had it at 1pm and it lasted all day and night. i would definitely go back and have it done again.

Started going to Charisma in Bristol over 12 months ago after my daughter gave me a voucher for Christmas.....one of the best gifts ever given. All the staff, without exception are very friendly and always make you feel comfortable and I always leave feeling very special. Special thanks to Jo....she manages to make me look amazing and has now cut my hair into a style that is so easy to maintain without any fuss....and I don't do fussing with hair. The Bridal boutique is well worth looking at...bought my shoes for my own wedding last year and I got more comments about the shoes than the dress!!

I visited the salon about 5 weeks ago for the first time in years. I was booked in with a junior for a full head foils. The staff were amazing so friendly the junior did a great job and the senior stylist who helped him as I have a lot of hair was really good she picked my colours and its by far the best colour I have ever had. I was in the salon half the day and the staff were all lovely. can wait to get booked in for a cut.

Me and my fiancee visited chrisma last saturday, and we came out feeling excited, its the best service we have received yet.
my partner tried on some morning suits and what i found best is they actually listen to what you want, they dont pressure you into somthing they think is suitable, we were given a good price and the material of the suit and shirt were of high quality! :)

I visited Charisma for the 1st time for a wet cut I was very pleased with the standered of the cut but found the lady who cut my hair unfriendly and did not make me feel at ease considering I had never been there before. The young man who washed my hair was very friendly though. I am undecided about if I will go there again.

I was looking for a new hair salon and Charisma was recomended to me by my cousin. I was impressed by the friendly staff, luxury of the salon and most importantly the brilliant cut and advice I was given. I will be returning to this salon and have already adviced friends and family members to go there. I never thought I would find such a good salon so locally with cuts at a reasonable price.

I visted Charisma and had a lovely afternoon. Everyone was so nice to me. My hair at the end was great, I was seen by a traniee and he was lovely- no faults at all! I have been to a few hairdressers before but Charisma is by far the best in everyway.

I have been using Charisma for nearly 6 years now and wouldn't even think about going to anyone else to have my hair done.
The first time I visited was to have my hair done for my high-school prom, I went in with dull, mousy brown, unstyled hair and came out with a sleek blonde do! I couldn't have been happier. I change my hair style a lot, as Becki well knows, and I have never been disappointed with her suggestions and the cuts are always superb. The colourists are fab too and won't give up until they've got your colour just the way you want it. Plus, free coffee! What more could you ask for?

i recently visited charisma on the day of there wedding fayre. i was very impressed, it is a lovely place and everybody was so nice a firendly. we arrived quite near the end and by the time we had looked at the wedding dresses (which they have a really nice selection of) they wer just about finishing, but the very so kindly offered to do a free hair trail for me, it was very well done and it looked so good, thankyou for becky for doing that for us! really appriciated it. gave me some good ideas for what i may want my hair to be done like for my wedding :) x

I recently had a hair cut and it went badly wrong! so i went to charisma to see what they could do to fix it. They restyled my hair and made it look good again. They was really nice to me and told me what they were going to do to my hair and where the hairdresser when wrong on my hair. I have nothing but praise for Becky and her staff at Charisma. The service from entrance, to shampoo, to cut and finish was faultless. I visited Charisma today with my future husband. I can highly recommend this place for future brides and grooms. As we walked into Charisma we had a warm welcome from the receptionist and Becky. Becky was styling my hair to give me some idea of how I might have my hair done for my big day. We felt that the level of customer service in Charisma was very high at all times during our visit. I was also looking for a tiara and some shoes. In the end I bought both after Becky showed me every single hair accessory and every pair of shoes . I felt comfortable trying them on and chose my favourite .Becky didn't try to sell me every single thing I touched. She let me explore the shop and when I felt like it, I asked for her feedback . She didn't try to tell me how beautiful I look every minute, Instead I got honest feedback about what really looks good with my dress style and hair with no overlooking the dress. Steve helped my fiancé with the suits. Even though we did not have an appointment, Richard tried so many suits and got some tips on how to look and feel good on our big day. In Charisma you can find top class service.

Apart from my tight waist coat after I lost some weight we were very happy with mine and my best mans suit hire. Also the dress my wife bought was really eye catching and she had many comments from guests who loved the dress. The outfits definitely contributed to an amazing day for us. When I first visited Charisma I was greeted by Sara who was very friendly and helpful. I tried on a range of different dresses and fell in love with one in particular. I went home thinking I had found the one and couldn't take my mind of it..
I went back a couple of weeks later, and tried on the same dress again and knew then that I had found my perfect dress and it was definetly the one. Again Sara was very approachable, honest and helpful in my decision and I went home that day very happy and excited that I had found my dress.
I can;t wait now til July 2011 when the big days arrive and can;t wait til I can see my my dress and try it on again, I love it soo much.

Definitely the best bridal shop in Bristol by far, you have managed to incorparate everything a bride to be could possibly wish for. My mother and i have just returned from a visit to Charisma and we were wowed by the beautiful surroundings and fantastic service. Our appointment was with Becky- within seconds of being in the shop she made us feel welcome and very comfortable. Without us knowing she identified my likes and dislikes, within minutes i had a huge selection of beautiful dresses too try on. The first few dresses were lovely but just not right for me, Becky could see i was feeling slightly disappointed so she suggested a style and it was THE ONE!! Becky's style and taste is lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Two hours felt like half an hour- we enjoyed every minute. Becky helped with hair, jewellery and suggested a contact for flowers (who also was brilliant and very helpful).
We were so impressed by the service- can't wait to visit again.

Searching for my bridal dress for my wedding in March 2011 has been more of a chore more than a pleasure! I was wanting to get the perfect dress and felt immense pressure from getting it perfect for me for my special day. With little time to explore I wanted to get it right and to not have the stress of it all. Charisma bridal boutique had some fantastic dresses where they have an abundance of beautiful dresses which suit for all budgets and styles. I was assisted by Zara who was patient, honest and gave me her complete attention and care. I felt comfortable and completely reassured by her advise and comments.

I had an appointment to go to Charisma to sort out my wedding suit. I felt a bit nervous as i didnt no what to expect but from the moment i went into the shop i was made to feel very welcome. I can honestly say that finding my wedding dress has certainly been the most stressful part of my wedding planning so far, mainly due to my fussy, non-mainstream taste! However, the worry that I wouldn't find a dress that 'fits the bill' is over and I am now waiting for the call to go back into Charisma for my fitting. The team there were very attentive and assured me that I could come back as many times as I liked - something I hoped they wouldn't regret saying!!

I have just come back from Charisma Mens Wear where i had an appointment With Steve, I finally chose the Silver ( light grey ) range after trying everything he had in the shop, Steve was great and nothing was any trouble or problem at all he was very helpful and explained everything in detail until we got the perfect combination between the Suit/Waistcoat and Cravat.
Any guy wanting a fantastic light weight Suit to look there very best on their wedding day must visit the shop and you wont be disapointed with the great service you will get. My best man and ushers are next for their fitting and i can breath a sigh of releif that my suits are sorted out.

I went to charisma today to try on wedding dresses for the first time, it was my second appointment of the day and it was such a fantastic experience. My first appointment earlier in the day was rushed, impersonal and uncomfortable, expecting the worst myself and my maid of honour turned up expecting a repeat of easrlier in the day. Much to our suprise and relief the moment we stepped in the door it was a completely difference experience. The lady showing us the dresses (sara) was fantastic, friendly, interested, and most of all, made me feel amazing. i would thoroughly recommend charisma to anybody buying their wedding dress! If i didnt want to lose weight before my wedding i would have ordered my dress there and then (and my shoes, veil, tiara, and bridesmaid dresses!)

Having been some years ago, both hairdresser and salon owner, I have always looked for a hairdresser with flair and who is willing to listen, advise and even disagree if needs be to me the customer, Yurekka.... The Bridal suite which is fantastic with such a lovely collection of dresses and accesories along with a great selection of mens wear, you can start to really the enjoy the whole experience from top to toe, without moving out of the shop. All I need is to find me a old rich man with short sight cause whilst the hair is great the rest of me needs a bit of attention.....Maybe Becky you.............

I have been a regular weekly client at Charisma Hair Salon for three years and can confidently say I am invariably delighted with the friendly service provided by Becky and her talented young staff. As a Senior Citizen, before going to Charisma, I realise I had got into an old fashioned rut inasmuch that my hair lacked both lustre, style and shape. Thanks to Becky's cutting skill, however, plus the natural looking colour her staff apply with great care, I am pleased to say my hair has never looked better nor been easier to manage. The artistry and ambience of the attractive modern salon are frankly second to none and I am certain it is one of the best in Bristol on all counts.

What a fantastic experience, the team at Charisma are so friendly and the service I was offered was second to none. Becky & Steve have a great selection of bridal wear, I have chosen my perfect wedding dress and my groom's suits are stylish and just great. Charisma has really inspired me, it is all too often that bridal shops and their assistants do not take a personal interest but at Charisma you are treated as one of the family.......... a big thank you from us all, Kerrie .

I have jusy come back after having my hair cut and coloured, and it looks great. I have been going to Charisma for over 3 years, and I am never disappointed. Becky and the team are all very welcoming and friendly. They always offer suggestions on style and colour so you aren't stuck with same hairstyle all the time. Thanks.

Just want to say a special thank you to Becky for the best hair cut I have ever had and also to the staff for the friendly service. This is the best salon I have ever been to and would highly recommend to friends and farmily. I felt nothing was to much trouble and it was easy to explain and get exactly what I wanted. I was totally amazed with everything about my visit and will certainly be back soon.

Went to Charisma yesterday after meeting them at Redfield lodge the week previous at a wedding fair.i tried on some amazing dresses and found the `one` thanks to Sara the manager.i was then shown the italian wedding suits they have in the mens wear department by Steve who was so much help.i could match everything with my dress including the shoes, tiara`s etc how amazing it is to find everything under one roof and not have to travel around to so many different places .i then went downstairs and had my hair and make up trial done, the whole experience was amazing and stress free. we thank all of you at Charisma especially Steve & Rebecca who made us feel so welcome and everyone who looked after us,we will highly recommend you to our friends who are getting married next year . Have been coming to Charisma for 4 years and wanted to let people know how profesional and caring the staff are, i have never come away feeling disapointed with the cut/colour i have asked for, the highlights are amazing and always to the root with never any dark bits showing, they razor cut my hair around my face perfectly and the indian head message is to die for.The most important thing is they always make me feel confortable and nothing is too much trouble to them. Anybody wanting to try a salon with great atmosphere make this a must as you wont be disapointed.

Just got back from my first visit to Charisma, Charisma was highly recommended to me by a friend so i thought i`d give them go after my last salon let me down. I am overwhelmed by the whole experience and the staff are lovely along with 1st class service which made me feel very welcome, they took time out to listen to what i wanted and the end result with the cut/colour is just amazing.P.s the salon is stunning and i hav`nt been to a salon quite like it before. Went recently to visit this establishment, I am not one to comment on most things but found this business to be very professional also very friendly and welcoming. Becky was a pleasure to meet as were her devoted staff!
I would totally reccomend this as as the first place to go when you are planning your dream wedding. It has made things so much easier and nothing was too much trouble.
They have a great deal of class and are so interseted that they could almost be part of your family! Becky will certainly be invited to my wedding. She made me feel like she wanted to help me and not just wanting my business!
